CTS, a collaboration linked by the same passion: tobacco

CTS Group

Our story

CTS was born in 2016 from the alliance between TRADITAB, the company of small tobacco producers in southwestern France, and SANTELÉ, a Flemish family-owned manufacturer of traditional Belgian rolling tobacco.

Although the two companies have different cultures, they are driven by the same passion, that of tobacco, but also by the same values, those of perpetuating a tradition of tobacco growing that dates back to 1637 in the South-West of France and a family expertise as a manufacturer of smoking tobaccos that has been passed on from generation to generation since 1928.

Today, CTS is an SME on a human scale with multicultural teams based in Belgium, France and Spain, committed to maintaining the values that founded this collaboration.

Our expertise

Thanks to the SANTELÉ know-how passed down through three generations, CTS is now a factory specializing in the cutting and manufacturing of "fine cut" rolling tobacco.

Although we use traditional manufacturing methods, our factory is equipped with modern facilities covering more than 5,400 m², which enable us to manufacture and package rolling tobaccos in compliance with European standards.

Another expertise inherited from its other founder, TRADITAB, is the knowledge of the world of tobacco production and the different growing areas in Europe. This knowledge has allowed us to select the best origins of our tobaccos but also to acquire a real competence of blender by associating in our products, the best varieties of tobaccos according to their soil of origin.

Our commitments

Today, CTS still pursues the same commitments made by its founders: to maintain the age-old know-how of tobacco product manufacturers in Europe and to participate in the maintenance of traditional tobacco growing areas by offering, among other things, to our adult and informed smokers, products made from tobacco grown in these regions.

Another of our commitments is to participate in the local economy of the territories where we source the tobacco for our products, by contributing to a fairer remuneration for tobacco producers or by participating in projects to develop local initiatives.
